Changing of the Gaurd in Taipei, Taiwan

Changing of the Guard in Taipei, Taiwan at the National Revolutionary Martyrs' Shrine.

Built on Chingshan Mountain and overseeing the Keelung River in Taipei's Zhongshan District in 1969. The architecture is beautiful, the history is significant in Taiwan’s past, honoring it's fallen soldiers, but the real show is the changing of the guard. Even though the first ceremony takes place around 9am, you will never be alone, it’s always crowded as you can see in my photo.  It’s a cool ceremony, rich in tradition, one that I would recommend to anyone that is able to experience it. After you enjoy the Shrine, across the street is a great little farmers market with really fresh fruit, yummy!
